How long have you been in business?
As CONTENTDATA INC., since 1998, but we are a successor firm to a business in continual operation with the same core personnel since the early 1980s.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary service is to key data from hardcopy sources into electronic files. We have also worked with online data that needs to be organized and formatted. We have maintained databases for clients both at their site, our site and over the internet.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was called upon to assist the previous owner as a supervisor and later general manager. When she retired, I purchased the assets of the business and assumed the client roster. My work background has always been in accounting and research support. My academic background included a great deal of statistical research.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Ours is a shrinking industry, to be sure, but we offer a niche service that is available to step up when projects require data entry or conversion help and no inhouse staff is available. Our primary customers use us as an outsource resource for data processing that is an integral part of their research products.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one office located conveniently near major freeways and centrally in the Twin Cities. We have opportunity to expand at our current location if needed but we will always work in a secure central location to protect the sensitivity and confidentiality of our clients' materials.

Due to the confidentiality of our work, please call for an appointment and directions. We have a large conference room adjacent to our office to use for meetings.
What type of payments do you accept?
We normally invoice for service and accept checks or ACH transfers at the present time. Other options can be made available.
Which areas do you service?
We have worked primarily with local clients all over the Twin Cities, but have also accepted assignments for which source materials were shipped to us or sent over the internet.
