Hmong American Partnership (HAP) was founded in 1990 as a community-based organization that would draw equally on the strengths of the Hmong culture and American cultures. Our mission is to help Hmong grow deep roots in America while preserving the strength of our Hmong heritage.
HAP directly served more than 2,000 individuals every year through job search and job placement services, , English language classes, computer skills training, tutoring and mentoring for youth, support services for elders, and creation and dissemination of public health materials to provide information on issues such as methamphetamine use and youth violence. Services are designed to improve Hmong refugee acculturation, literacy and job skills, reduce poverty, and to support and strengthen families and community.
