How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've been fascinated by information technology since I was a teenager. I decided to go on my own way back in 1994 after spending several years working for a large computer company. Security became a focus back in Nov. 2000 when I learned some lessons from an incident with my own infrastructure.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Just like every other IT service provider, I can help customers keep the lights on. But I can also help customers come up with new and unique ways to apply current and future technology to gain a competitive edge. I was a pioneer setting up software defined perimeters allowing remote workers and branch offices to connect using the public Internet. I was one of the first to do video over the Internet, proving the concept by connecting military families in the Twin Cities with loved ones serving overseas. I'm the author of "Bullseye Breach," a soon to be popular educational book disguised as an international thriller that chronicles how a large retailer loses millions of credit card numbers to a group of criminals. And with everyone moving to "the cloud" today, I have a set of tools to help keep that last mile to the customer site working.

One physical location. Expansion will come when economic conditions make sense.

My business is B2B, so checks are preferred. So far, I've chosen not to spend money for credit card processors.
