AKA's DESIGN PHILOSOPHY of integrating owner/user collaboration with award-winning design has created attractive, efficient and functional facilities that reflect stakeholders' interests, ideas and expectations. Our approach to design is based on three principles:
AKA BELIEVES THAT DESIGN IS A PARTNERSHIP.
It grows out of an intimate and continuing dialogue between the design team and their client. The more closely we connect with our clients, the better our understanding of their goals and the greater the design potential becomes. AKA’s best projects have been programmed, planned and designed with extensive collaboration with our clients.
AKA BELIEVES THAT DESIGN CAN SERVE SOCIETY.
Through good design and good service to our clients, not only do we create buildings that serve our clients needs, but they also serve the broader society. Good design builds good neighborhoods, good cities, and healthy environments.
AKA BELIEVES THAT DESIGN CAN REFLECT ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP.
Our goal is to design innovative and pragmatic buildings that promote reuse of resources where possible; provide a highly functional and healthful environment for the occupants; minimize pollution; and have a long, useful life expectancy.
