Hydro Restoration, Inc. is a pressure washing, painting, and coatings company, specializing in wood restoration and has been owned and operated by Kip Ramsay since 2001. Prior to its inception, Kip worked as an exterior painter and pressure washer for an established painting & decorating company for six seasons. The company started with two employees and focused primarily on refinishing decks and pressure washing siding prior to painting. Hydro has evolved into a full service exterior pressure washing, painting and staining solutions provider now focusing on community associations, large commercial waterproofing projects, residential house painting and major stripping contracts. Due to Hydro’s commitment to professionalism, communication and high customer service, we have been able to maintain repeat high net worth customers as well as multiple town home/condo associations. Kip is recognized as an expert and problem solver in the exterior coatings industry, and is called upon to negotiate product failure issues between manufacturers, distributors and customers. Kip has completed various wood restoration certification programs and is a member of various trade organizations which keep him aware of the vast changes in products and technology. Hydro has expanded into a full service commercial painting company servicing over 200 restaurant locations: Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, Long John Silver, Wing Street and Sonic Burger. Hydro has stood apart from its competitors from the beginning by combining current technology with traditional techniques. One of the main benefits clients receive from Hydro is the use of hot water applied at a low pressure. Cold water simply cannot remove all the dirt, mold and fungus that is embedded in the wood, which will cause your painted or stained surface to fail prematurely. Hot water achieves a much deeper steam clean and can be used at a lower
pressure, which is far less damaging and won’t wear down the wooden surface.
Another benefit is that Hydro applies the majority of paint and stain by hand. Many of our competitors will use a sprayer that will simply coat the surface and will cause the product to chip, peel and fade prematurely. Hydro believes in vigorously working the product into the wood using a brush and roller. This method has been time tested and will result in a longer lasting and more uniform appearance that comes from taking the time to do it right the first time. Hydro does not sub-contract any work, which enables us to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
