How long have you been in business?
I have been in the child care business for approximately 28 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Our purpose is to give your child the best quality child care and preschool education possible. I have an early childhood studies BA, which I felt was necessary to provide the kind of care that we offer. We believe in the development of the whole child.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
When my youngest child was born, being that I was disappointed with the child care I was receiving at the time, and even before that, with the caring of my twins. Something had to be done and I had the heart, love and passion to care for children to do it.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
At It Takes a Village Learning Academy we focus on each child as an individual. We respect and foster every child's pride and securities to his own identity and respect for others. We encourage families to engage in a partnership with "It Takes A Village Learning Academy"(ITAV) Home-based Family Run Multicultural
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have the one location which we hope to expand in the near future.

What is the best compliment anyone can give you?

A couple of children have tested so high on the kindergarten test that their teachers wanted to know who had been working with them.
