How long have you been in business?
We've been serving the Twin Cities community since 2009 from our St Paul-based location.
What is your primary product or service?
Tow Truck. We offer many services such as towing, roadside assistance for a flat tire, dead battery, locked out of your car or run out of gas and need some gas delivered to you. We also pull cars out of ditches and snowbanks. We have a flatbed truck so as to best protect the car or truck we are towing. And we also offer transport services for custom cars, antique cars or anything else that is too big for a person to transport on their own.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've loved cars since I was a kid so I knew I wanted a career where I'd be involved with cars. I also like to be out and about -- I couldn't imagine being in an office all day. And I like change and variety in my day. Owning my own tow truck company affords me all of these benefits.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
One of the least trusted businesses in America is the tow truck so we work exceptionally hard to build trust with our customers. We share information on our website about how poorly-managed tow trucks rip people off so that consumers are educated about what to look for -- and to NOT fall for. These scammers are called "tow truck bandits." We also help parents about how to educate their new teen drivers so teen drivers are prepared for when (not if) they need the services of a tow truck. For example, 73% of young drivers experienced a break down in the last year and 95% of all drivers break down at least once in their lifetime. These national statistics aren't widely known. When we make people aware of this ahead of time, then they can plan ahead and know what to do when it happens to them. So building trust and education are two ways we differentiate ourselves from other tow truck drivers. We like to think our customer service is superior to other tow trucks -- and our reviews would suggest that's the case as well. Plus we keep our prices on the low end of the tow truck spectrum. Great customer service at low cost are two more ways we think we are different from other tow truck companies.
